VISION NEWS SALISBURYThe Summer Solstice at StonehengeVISION NEWS' OWN TEXT: Over 23,000 people came to South Wiltshire's iconic Henge to celebrate the dawn of the longest day and the height of the sun's power in the northern hemisphere. The crowd was good natured and a clear night boded well for the sunrise, but in the greatest of English traditions a rain cloud arrived just in time to obscure the sun! As ever it was a truly international gathering with visitors from around the world.
Dorset Druids were protesting about the Irish Governments plans to destroy Tara, the ancient home of Ulster's Kings, a Henge believed to be some 3,500 years old will soon to be under the new M3 motorway between Dublin and Belfast.
