The Making of the Album
STEVE TOOK`S HORNS
Blow it!!!

Record Shops Release Date 28th June 2004 by CHERRY RED RECORDS
no CDMRED255.

Steve Took is best known as Marc Bolan’s original partner in Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), yet with the death of Bolan in 1977 we also witnessed the formation of a new band for Took, The Horns – an impressive outfit that also included former Steve Gibbons Band guitar virtuoso Judge Trev and Dino Ferari, both of whom would go on to a solid following with Hawkwind founder Nik Turner as Inner City Unit (ICU).

Recorded during a session at the now legendary Pathway Studios, this multi-track master tape has never been released in any format until now! Also, as well as the original versions, this CD includes remixes in which Judge Trev adds some amazing guitar overlays and ICU / Nik Turner’s Allstars Member Rick Welsh puts The Horns into The Horns.

Two Took-Penned songs were also recorded for the album. Original Horns members Judge Trev (Guitar & Vox) and Dino Ferari (Drums) were joined by Hawkwind's Frontman & Bassist (1995 - 2002) Ron Tree on Bass & Vox along with Rick Welsh on Trumpet.
